Position Summary:

The IT Technician is fundamental for ensuring uninterrupted technology operations across the organization. This position delivers timely, effective technical support to staff, addressing hardware, software, and network issues while maintaining robust security and adherence to IT standards. The ideal candidate is adept at problem-solving and knowledgeable in security protocols, internal software, and IT infrastructure. They will actively refine IT support processes to improve uptime and productivity.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Incident Management: Proactively manage IT support requests through calls and the ticketing system, resolving issues quickly and escalating when required.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve IT issues, minimizing disruptions while communicating solutions and procedures clearly to staff.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain a thorough understanding of operating systems, networking, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, VMWare, VPNs, and imaging software. Stay informed on emerging tech trends.
  • Operations Support: Assist in maintaining network, server, and system functionality according to IT policies and procedures.
  • System & Process Mastery: Gain comprehensive knowledge of technology systems and business processes, collaborating with teams and vendors for swift issue resolution and solution implementation.
  • Workstation Deployment & Relocation: Manage workstation setup, relocation, and configuration to ensure seamless transitions when staff relocate.
  • Service Optimization: Continuously evaluate IT processes and infrastructure, recommending and implementing improvements for optimal system performance and service delivery.
  • Team Player & Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment through strong interpersonal skills, promoting teamwork and collective problem-solving.
  • Communication: Ensure open, clear communication across all organizational levels, escalating issues appropriately and providing clear guidance and support to drive alignment and achieve goals.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with management to define and execute IT projects that align with business goals and adhere to timelines.

 

When duties and responsibilities change, the employee may be asked to perform other duties as required as business needs dictate. Employees are required to identify any changes in their job duties since the descriptions were last reviewed. Additionally, MART may ask that employees conduct a review of their position as part of the performance-evaluation process.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years in desktop support, IT infrastructure, or server environments, demonstrating strong troubleshooting skills and a track record in managing complex IT issues.

Pay Range: 59,371 - 68,852
