Notice of Language Assistance Services

 

The Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (‘MART’) wishes to inform our consumers that if you do not speak or understand English very well, ‘MART’ has translation services available at no charge. Tell the person helping you that you need to identify your language and have the appropriate interpreter made available to you.

‘MART’ also has TDD services available for our patrons that have a hearing or speech impairment. Call 800-789-0577.

Information about ‘MART’ policies and services can also be provided in accessible formats and are translated into Spanish.

Reasonable Modification Policy

 

MART is required to make reasonable modifications to policies, practices, and procedures to avoid discrimination and ensure that our programs are accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Examples of reasonable modifications:

  • Help rider with using the farebox
  • Allow passengers with medical conditions to eat/drink
  • Assist in extreme weather

What are not reasonable modifications:

  • Specific vehicle request
  • Exclusive rides
  • Driver acting as PCA such as carrying packages
  • Operating outside of service area/hours
  • Request for a specific driver
