The Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (‘MART’) is one of Massachusetts' 15 regional transit authorities.  ‘MART’ provides public transportation to 21 area communities consisting of the cities of Fitchburg, Leominster, and Gardner, and the adjoining towns of Ashburnham, Ashby, Ayer, Bolton, Boxborough, Hardwick, Harvard, Hubbardston, Lancaster, Littleton, Lunenburg, Royalston, Shirley, Sterling, Stow, Templeton, Westminster, and Winchendon.

 

‘MART’ operates a fleet of 27 Buses, 177 Vans, and 2 Trolley Replica buses. ‘MART’ provides 18 fixed-route bus services, 2 shuttle services, and paratransit services to the region. ‘MART’ maintains the parking facilities at the Fitchburg and the North Leominster stations.  It also provides connections to the MBTA Commuter Rail line at Fitchburg station, and has partnered with the MBTA in the planning for the proposed Wachusett station.

 

‘MART’ in collaboration with Fitchburg State University faculty, staff and students can ride any of the bus routes in Fitchburg or Leominster free of charge.

NORTH LEOMINSTER COMMUTER RAIL PARKING LOT:

Construction of a parking garage will begin in February 2012 and continue for approximately 12 months.  DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD THE NORTH LEOMINSTER TRAIN STATION WILL BE OPEN AND ACCESSIBLE. Read More Here!
