Title:  IT Director Position 

 

Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with IT support training or equivalent education and IT-related experience. Must possess minimum 5 years experience in IT Management. Ability to resolve complex IT issues and planning and analysis skills.

Job Description:  Responsible for managing and administering a large network across five sites, providing strategic planning, budgeting and design of all encompassing information systems. Resolution of system problems, including coordination between users and components of local and wide area network (LAN/WAN) resources, and manages end user desktop support. Ensures the physical and operational security of IT systems, software, and hardware according to company policies.  Supervision of four IT staff.  

 

Maintenance of LAN/WAN connections, network and server administration tasks, support for network and/or systems-related problems and coordination of network maintenance and upgrades. Develops policies for back-up of data and systems for disaster recovery, as well as for administrative procedures.  Participates in the evaluation of network and/or systems-related software products and upgrades in accordance with IT-related business needs. Implements appropriate security and controls to ensure compliance with audit and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.  Plans and recommends changes to IT Infrastructure to efficiently support office changes. Ensures operational capability in the event of a disaster or interruption of business IT Support: Performs preventive maintenance, tests and minor repairs of complex equipment using manufacturers’ manuals, schematics and any directions from a technical specialist; troubleshoots problems, works with product vendors and other IT personnel as appropriate to resolve. Analyzes equipment and support operations. Upgrades and resolves software and systems used to access Enterprise resources. Evaluates system configuration and software to ensure effective use of hardware resources. Plans training support for end users and other computer support staff.
